HMI balloon lights offer a hybrid light source option including tungsten halogen, HMI, HPS, metal halide, and sodium. These balloon lights are ideal for effect lighting in special scenes where specific color temperatures are desired. The Artemis series HMI balloon lights are specifically designed and manufactured for the film and TV industries. Its standard range has a lighting power of up to 10kw with over 1,000,000lm and a 5600k daylight quality output. Special techniques are employed to make general lighting sources like HMI, LED, or tungsten halogen emit evenly distributed lights through a diffuser.
Integrating patented balloon lighting technology and the requirements of the film and TV industry gave birth to the Artemis. The Artemis lineup includes spherical version (dia. 2.5m - 5m, helium filling), ellipse version (2.2x3m, 3.3x4.4m, helium filling), cube version (2.2m - 5m, helium filling), and tube version. The Sphere/Ellipse/Cube/Tube versions can also be air-filled for tripod stand, hanging, and rigging applications. Our lighting balloons have a current range up to 20k - 20,000w HMI range in tube shape, and they are different from traditional soft diffusers.
Important features include evenly diffused flicker-free lighting conditions that distribute lights evenly, similar to daylight. The color temperature is high-quality daylight, ranging between 5500k - 5600k. Osram HMI lamps are used as the standard option for the film industry, while Philips MSR or top Chinese brand HMI like Taiwan Jenbo can also be used. This ensures the lighting temperature is exactly of daylight quality. Top electronics and ballast control can be customized to fit well with Arri or Power Gems ballasts.
Could be used either filling with normal air for suspension use or filled with helium gas for float application. The application depends on your actual site/scene condition, requirement of lighting, and the budget.
